Understanding Tri Peaks Solitaire: Rules, Gameplay, and Mechanics

Tri Peaks Solitaire (often styled with golf-themed mechanics) is a fast-paced card puzzle game where the objective is to clear all cards from the board—known as the tableau—into a single discard pile.

Core Rules and Gameplay

  • Matching Criteria: You can move any face-up card from the tableau to the Discard pile, provided its rank is exactly one value higher or lower than the top card of the Discard pile (regardless of suit). For instance, if the Discard pile shows an Ace (A), you can play a 2 or a King (K) onto it.
  • Unlocking Cards: The game starts with three mini-pyramids of face-down cards and a bottom row of face-up cards. Removing cards from the bottom row exposes and flips the face-down cards directly above them, making new moves available.
  • The Draw Pile: When no valid moves remain on the board, tapping the Draw stack deals a new base card onto the Discard pile, opening up fresh matching opportunities.

Special Features and Tools

  • Driver Skill: A special wild card or power-up feature that allows players to break out of tricky situations, such as clearing a stubborn card or matching without standard rank restrictions.
  • Hint Button: Provides real-time assistance by highlighting available valid moves whenever a player gets stuck.
