Understanding the Sci-Fi Hexagonal Strategy Puzzle Game

The game features an engaging sci-fi/cyberpunk aesthetic centered around a hexagonal grid-based board. It combines elements of area control, tactical movement, and puzzle-solving mechanics.

Core Gameplay & Mechanics

  1. The Hexagonal Grid: The playing field consists of interconnected hexagonal tiles, each displaying a numerical value representing power, unit count, or influence over that specific zone.
  2. Factions & Territory Control:
    • Cyan / Blue Hexagons (Bottom-Right): Represents the player’s controlled territory, currently showing higher power units (value of 5).
    • Orange / Red Hexagons (Top-Left): Represents the enemy AI’s territory, holding defensive or offensive units (value of 3).
    • Dark Neutral Hexagons: Unclaimed tiles across the map holding a baseline value of 1.
  3. Objective: Players must expand their domain across the neutral tiles and strategically attack enemy-controlled tiles to dominate the board. Managing tile strength and pathing is essential to secure victory.

Special Abilities and Power-Ups

Located at the bottom of the interface are four distinct action buttons that provide tactical advantages:

  • Lightning Strike: Directly attacks or weakens a targeted tile.
  • Hexagon Boost (+): Reinforces and increases the numerical value of player-owned tiles.
  • Solar Blast / AoE: Triggers an area-of-effect impact to disrupt adjacent enemy or neutral tiles.
  • Special Character Ability (Ghost Icon): Activates a hero skill or summons a unique unit onto the field.
