Star Hoppers: A Strategic Board Puzzle Game

Star Hoppers is a strategy puzzle game inspired by the classic Chinese Checkers concept. The game challenges players to move their pieces across a star-shaped board and reach the destination area on the opposite side.

Each player controls a set of pieces and must move all of them from their starting triangle to the target triangle. The first player to successfully place all of their pieces in the destination area wins the game.

The gameplay features several types of movement. Players can make a Step by moving a piece to an adjacent empty position. They can also perform a Jump by jumping over another piece into an empty space. Multiple jumps can be combined into a Chain Jump, allowing a piece to travel much farther during a single turn.

Strategy plays an important role in Star Hoppers. Players need to carefully plan their moves and position their pieces so they can create useful jumping opportunities. A well-planned chain jump can significantly accelerate progress toward the target area.

The game also offers an AI opponent, allowing players to test their strategic thinking against different levels of computer-controlled opponents. This makes the game suitable for both casual players and those who enjoy more challenging board-game experiences.

Overall, Star Hoppers is a simple yet engaging strategy game that combines logical thinking, spatial planning, and tactical movement. Its easy-to-understand rules make it accessible, while the chain-jumping mechanics provide enough depth to keep each match interesting.
